URINARY AMYLASE, SPOT URINE

Urinary amylase is useful in differentiating between Macroamylasemia and Pseudocyst of the pancreas. In case of the former, only serum levels are raised. In Pseudocysts, urinary level remains elevated for weeks after an episode of Acute pancreatitis.
